Rosatom and Argentina: constructive cooperation continues

Today, cooperation between Russia and Argentina as to applied nuclear energy is promising and is based on the constructive interaction of nuclear experts from both countries. In 2016, more than one hundred experts from both countries took part in a session organized by Rosatom with the assistance of the Argentine Ministry of Energy and Mining.

In 2018, the heads of state of Russia and Argentina signed a long-term agreement on the industrial use of nuclear energy and, as the head of Rosatom said, approved a roadmap in the nuclear field.

Currently, the parties are discussing such issues as minimizing the dose obtained by personnel, the volumes of materials that must be disposed of as radioactive waste, reducing the potential impact on the environment, solutions for dismantling blocks, and alternatives for waste treatment.
